It would be great to have you on board with us facing these climate and environmental challenges. It is enjoyable to be working towards a greener, more sustainable future.
There is so much we can do together:
How about joining us on one of our monthly friendly inclusive meetings: 'Pint and Planet', in the Chequers Inn every third Wednesday of the month from 7:30 - 9pm.
Here we discuss the issues and work on solutions.
If you would like a more involved role there is something to suit everyone in one of our subgroups, whatever your area of interest or expertise:

Treasurer - we have a current vacancy for this role

Divestment - changing our banks and investments to ones which invest in sustainable renewables rather than fossil fuels

Education - awareness raising (with stalls at events, talks, workshops, Facebook and website)

Energy - home energy reduction (insulation and solar energy schemes to reduce costs for people)

Transport - Encourage walking and cycling, EV charge points in the village eg pubs, village hall car park, EV car club (Thame/Haddenham)

Consumption/ waste - Reduce/reuse/repair/recycle: encourage reduction through education and repair cafes in Aston Clinton and Haddenham

Food/ food waste - education about diets which reduce climate damage, composting on the allotments and encouraging participation

Biodiversity - tree planting and rewilding of suitable areas in the village
